The MicroStrategy Mobile Server hardware requirements are the same as those for MicroStrategy Web Server hardware requirements. Refer to System Requirements and Compatibility for MicroStrategy Web for the Web Server hardware requirements.

MicroStrategy Mobile	Requirement
MicroStrategy Mobile for BlackBerry	BlackBerry Enterprise Server is required to wirelessly push applications to your BlackBerry client devices with an associated IT Policy. MicroStrategy Mobile for iPhone	For a list of iPhone operating systems that are certified and supported for MicroStrategy Mobile, see the Certified and Supported Configurations for MicroStrategy Mobile page.
MicroStrategy Mobile for iPad	For a list of iPad operating systems that are certified and supported for MicroStrategy Mobile, see the Certified and Supported Configurations for MicroStrategy Mobile page.

MicroStrategy environment

Before you attempt to run MicroStrategy Mobile, you must set up your MicroStrategy environment. This includes:

• Mobile Server configured and running.
• MicroStrategy project running in a server-connected (three-tier) environment.
• The client applications for MicroStrategy Mobile for iPhone and MicroStrategy Mobile for iPad must be downloaded from Apple's App Store™.
• The client applications for MicroStrategy Mobile for Android can be installed from Google's Android Market.
• MicroStrategy Mobile for BlackBerry also requires:
  • The Mobile application deployed on a BlackBerry client via USB or a wireless push from BlackBerry Enterprise Server with associated IT policy.
  • Web client browser installed and running.

Compatibility

The table below lists the interoperability of MicroStrategy Mobile client applications with MicroStrategy Mobile Server and Intelligence Server systems. The listing of a MicroStrategy version in the table below includes all hotfix and patch releases for that version. Additionally, MicroStrategy Mobile Server and MicroStrategy Intelligence Server should both be on the same version.

Be aware that full feature support is not available for any interoperability scenario listed above where MicroStrategy Mobile client and server systems are on different versions. To ensure full feature support, upgrade both MicroStrategy Mobile client and server systems to .

Creating a configuration of multiple MicroStrategy Mobile Servers

To create a configuration that includes multiple MicroStrategy Mobile Servers, all MicroStrategy Mobile Servers must be upgraded to 9.2.1 or later versions, and all of the MicroStrategy Mobile Servers must be the same version. For example:

• You can use a MicroStrategy 9.2.1m Mobile Server to create a configuration including multiple MicroStrategy 9.2.1m Mobile Servers.
• You can use a MicroStrategy Analytics Enterprise Mobile Server to create a configuration including multiple MicroStrategy Analytics Enterprise Mobile Servers.
