Android device pixel density
Android devices are commonly categorized into the following pixel densities:
Note: Pixel density of mobile device screens, defined as pixels per inch, is commonly referred to as either PPI or DPI. All references to pixel density listed below are referred to as PPI.
- Low pixel density is 120-159 PPI.
- Medium pixel density is 160-239 PPI.
- High pixel density is 240-319 PPI.
- Extra high pixel density is 320 PPI and above.
To support MicroStrategy Mobile for Android, an Android device must meet the following specific pixel density requirements:
- Android phones must use a high or extra high pixel density screen, which is 240 PPI and above.
- Android tablets must use a medium, high, or extra high pixel density screen, which is 160 PPI and above.
Refer to your third-party Android documentation for the pixel density of your mobile device. To confirm your device’s pixel density, you can use third-party PPI calculator applications that are available on the Google Play Store.
